About The Position

The Biology Department is seeking a candidate for a Lab Assistant position. This is a temporary, part-time role for the summer term, focused on preparing research labs and equipment for the upcoming fall semester. The assistant will work 35 hours per week from May 16th to June 26th.

Requirements

• Self-motivated
• Reliable
• Available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Must pass a background check, reference checks, and verification of identity and authorization to work in the United States (Form I-9).

Responsibilities

• Assisting faculty and staff with moving, organizing, and cleaning research labs and equipment to prepare for fall semester.
• Assisting in the fly lab and the greenhouse, especially with cleaning duties, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
