About The Position
The Eberly College of Science, Department of Biology, is looking to hire up to five undergraduate Biology AI Tutor Project Assistants to support the development and testing of an AI-based RAVI (Reasoning About Visual Information) tutor. The tutor is being developed to help biology students learn how to interpret and learn from visual displays through guided questioning. Assistants will work closely with the project manager and Biology faculty to develop and test the tutor before it is used in the classroom.
Requirements
- Completed the BIOL 161–164 sequence (B grades or better in all courses)
- Completed SC 220
- Experience as an undergraduate laboratory teaching or learning assistant
- Full-time registered Penn State undergraduate student
Responsibilities
- Support the development and testing of an AI-based RAVI (Reasoning About Visual Information) tutor.
- Help biology students learn how to interpret and learn from visual displays through guided questioning.
- Work closely with the project manager and Biology faculty to develop and test the tutor before it is used in the classroom.
