This specific role involves performing tissue culture based potency assays on live vaccine products, process intermediates, and related experimental samples. The position requires preparing solutions and culture media, maintaining multiple cell lines, and adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMP) for record-keeping and test results. The biologist will work independently and efficiently, document work clearly, perform tests accurately, and communicate effectively with client staff. Experience with ELISA and other cell-based assays is expected.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Experience with ELISA and other cell-based assays
Aseptic and cell culture techniques
General laboratory skills
Experience with pipettes
Experience with automation
Experience using formulas and linking spreadsheets in Excel
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Nice To Haves

At least six months related laboratory experience
Demonstrated expertise with GXP compliance, documentation, technical writing (procedures and policies) is a plus
