About The Position

The Biologist I will be primarily responsible for the organization, preparation, and analysis of clinical and preclinical samples. Proper documentation and lab notebooking are essential in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run commercial ELISA testing and perform data analysis
  • Run MSD and focus on method development and analytical troubleshooting
  • Operate and maintain the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to register, sort, track and aliquot clinical and preclinical samples, ensuring accurate sample identification, chain-of-custody and data integrity throughout the sample life cycle.
  • Use liquid handler automations including Tecan, Hamilton and other robotic systems
  • Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment including centrifuges, pipettes, spectrophotometers, ELISA readers, as well as specialized equipment necessary to support the laboratory
  • Perform Western Blot testing
  • Record data in Electronic Lab Notebooks
  • Assist with sample management and inventory management
  • Knowledge of analyzing data with familiarity to Excel and other analytical techniques
  • Comply with clients and company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies
  • Follow guidelines set forth by clients and in the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Other duties as defined by manager, department needs and workload
  • Comply with clients and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System.
