About The Position
Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking a Biologist/Avian Bird Sweeper for a seasonal, part-time position from June to September 2026. This role involves planning and implementing breeding bird and nest surveys across Manitoba, acting as a contractor liaison, preparing summary reports, and completing fieldwork in other disciplines as needed. The position requires working effectively in a team environment and independently in remote areas.
Requirements
- Degree in biology or Avian Bird Sweeper certification
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a Driver's abstract
- Ability to work alone in remote areas across Manitoba
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement breeding bird and nest surveys across Manitoba
- Act as contractor liaison
- Prepare summaries of results (i.e. letter reports)
- Complete fieldwork in other disciplines as needed
- Work effectively in a team environment
