Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous medical office experience required.
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
One (1) year of prior authorization experience required.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree preferred.
Prior insurance billing experience preferred.
Prior pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for getting prior authorizations for over 30 different medications.
Handle external biologic orders.
Perform additional responsibilities including scheduling port replacements at the hospitals.
Responsible for lab monitoring while patient is on treatment (managing lab recalls in EMR, facilitate getting lab orders to patients when necessary).
Assist patient with enrollment to any patient assistance programs applicable for financial hardships related to treatment.
