The Biologic Coordinator maintains a streamlined workflow for the Infusion Center and injections in the office. This role requires strong organizational skills, a customer service orientation, excellent time management, proficiency in computer operations, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The position is responsible for the overall workflow in the Infusion Center, including scheduling, authorization, and payment for Infusion and injection services. This includes verifying insurance, conducting benefit investigations, and managing authorizations for all patients, with follow-ups to the billing office to maintain timely billing status. The Biologic Coordinator functions within a multi-disciplinary environment, requiring excellent customer service skills and professional interactions with all staff and coworkers. Responsibilities also include chart preparation for medication ordering, gathering necessary patient forms (including consent forms), and notating financial obligations. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suites, web navigation, and Electronic Health Systems (EHR), is essential. The role involves working with the Regional Operations Manager and Office Manager to review drug usage and Infusion Center utilization quarterly. Building and maintaining professional relationships with pharmaceutical representatives, tracking co-pay assistance program details, and ensuring timely claim submission are also key duties. Additionally, the coordinator will greet and assist patients and other customers professionally and efficiently, ensure timely delivery of patient services, and maintain strict confidentiality. Other duties as assigned.
