About The Position
This is a temporary appointment for a Bioinformatics Assistant within the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. The role involves designing, updating, and maintaining code and software for laboratory use, providing programmatic and IT support to colleagues, and assisting in bioinformatic analysis.
Requirements
- Programming in PHP, Python, C#, Javascript
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to work in a LAMP environment.
- Rudimentary understanding of biology and phylogenetics.
Responsibilities
- Design, update and maintain code and software for use to the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.
- Provide programmatic and IT support to colleagues in the diagnostic laboratory.
- Assist in bioinformatic analysis.
