About The Position

The Bio Room Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in biosecurity areas, particularly focusing on biosecurity showers and related facilities. This role is crucial in protecting the organization against diseases and harmful biological agents, contributing to overall biosafety measures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Strong attention to detail and commitment to thoroughness
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Willingness to work holidays and weekends as needed
Basic understanding of biosecurity principles

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in cleaning or sanitation, particularly in bio secure environments
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Knowledge of proper chemical handling and safety procedures
Familiarity with agricultural or food production environments

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize biosecurity showers and related areas
Maintain cleanliness in buildings, facilities, and equipment
Remove and dispose of trash and other waste
Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, towels, uniforms, and equipment
Keep all assigned areas neat, tidy, and organized
Perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
Follow all OSHA safety regulations and biosecurity procedures
Use appropriate cleaning tools and products to create a clean, healthy environment
Report any issues or concerns related to cleanliness or biosecurity to supervisors
Assist in maintaining records of cleaning activities and supply usage
Other duties as assigned
