About The Position

As our Biomedical Tech, you will be a specialized expert, ensuring the optimal performance and safety of critical medical instrumentation. Every day, you will perform preventive maintenance on complex medical devices, manage installations, and execute all related repairs and maintenance under the Biomedical Program Manager's supervision. To be successful in this role, you will apply strong technical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills to support our healthcare operations.

Requirements

  • Associate of Arts in electronics or related field
  • Four years experience in the repair and maintenance of biomedical instrumentation, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Performs mechanical, electrical and electronic repairs and calibrations of all classes of diagnostic and therapeutic biomedical equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and electrical safety inspections.
  • Initiate purchase requests for repair parts and accessories; receives parts and equipment; maintains parts inventory records and accurate maintenance history records of equipment.
  • Performs incoming or acceptance inspections to determine compliance with manufacturers specifications and safety standards.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of patient care equipment.
  • Demonstrates increasing knowledge of the operation and underlying physiological principles, practical and safe clinical application of patient care equipment.
  • Demonstrate skills using diagnostic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, analog and digital meters, signal generators, frequency counters and special instrumentation designed for operational specification testing, and be able to interpret illustrative drawings, blue prints and schematic diagrams.
