Requirements

3 - 5 years industry experience
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Nice To Haves

220 License (preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) from four-year college or university (preferred)
Experience with excess and surplus lines underwriting agency or company a plus. (preferred)

Responsibilities

Reviews insurance renewal applications to evaluate, classify, and rate individuals and groups for insurance and accepts or rejects applications by performing the following duties.
Review renewal applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine underwriting actions.
Determine renewal underwriting actions.
Accept or decline risks based on own analysis of options.
Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure.
Implement methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes.
May train or supervise junior level assistants.
Verify complete and proper coding.
Compliance with Quality Control guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Collaborates with Broker with regard to unusual coverages.
Maintains knowledge of all markets available to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements
