Community Impact Printing is seeking a hands-on, hard-working, detail-oriented professional to join their team as a Bindery Operator I. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and quality of products produced from the Stitcher/Trimmer and Inserter areas. Requirements

  • Minimum requirements: 2 or more years of experience with offset printing
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Available during 1st shift hours of 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Ability to work occasional weekends or variable shifts based on business needs

  • Extensive knowledge of paper characteristics and its effect on production and quality

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate the Stitcher/Trimmer and Inserter
  • Navigate Stitcher software to make any needed adjustments before and during a run
  • Cycle the Inserter machine to sync the pockets and feeder sensors
  • Find and move job files to the correct folder on the Inserter
  • Set up and calibrate the stacker to ensure neat, square and uniform bundles
  • Inspect and replace belts and strapping
  • Utilize Videojet software to import files and change job parameters as necessary
  • Operate Kyocera, Kodak, and Taba printers
  • Load and change label rolls on the Inserter
  • Maintain knowledge of machine coding, error messages, reporting, and machine troubleshooting
  • Perform Daily, Weekly and Monthly maintenance on the Stitcher/Trimmer and Inserter
