Requirements

  • Must be quality-minded and pay attention to detail.
  • Must be able to read and understand job tickets and production instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attendance, work ethic, and reliability.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to operate equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and job tracking.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and standing activities for the entirety of the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating machinery is preferred but not required - training is available for motivated candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key leader in finishing operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
  • Set up and operate bindery equipment such as cutters, pocket feeders, perfect binders, coilers/tabbers, and saddle stitchers based on job specifications.
  • Take ownership of production flow, proactively addressing issues, maintaining equipment performance, and supporting team success.
  • Set up and operate bindery equipment according to job specifications.
  • Stitch, punch, coil, cut, glue, laminate, mount, and grommet materials.
  • Follow job tickets and written instructions to meet customer requirements.
  • Perform routine cleaning, basic preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Enter time and material data into production tracking systems.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.
  • Follow standard work practices and maintain a safe work environment.
