About The Position
Phoenix Color is seeking a Bindery Operator 2 for the 2nd shift at our Lakeside facility. This role involves operating foil and emboss imprint machinery, ensuring quality control, managing inventory, and adhering to safety procedures. The position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The operator will be responsible for making adjustments to machinery, reviewing shipping requirements, and performing preventative maintenance.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- High levels of attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team
- Mechanically inclined
- 2+ years’ experience with machine operator or mechanical work preferred
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Technical training with printing concentration preferred
Responsibilities
- Follow proper work flow procedures to accurately create designed customer foil or emboss imprint
- Keep work area clean and tidy and regularly check quality of work being output
- Make adjustments as needed to make ready to meet sign off quality control
- Review shipping requirements and adhere to standards
- Manage new and used inventory and perform PMs on machinery
- Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
