This position involves operating and setting up a variety of auxiliary binding machines, including those with multiple cutting heads and attachments like inkjet and mailing devices, case making & decorating equipment, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding/gluing machines. The role also includes setting up automatic bindery machines with multiple functions and station capabilities, such as power paper cutters, collators, folders, and binders, which can be combined with other equipment to produce finished books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, or other completed products. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment for safety, operating automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders), making adjustments to coordinate multiple workstations, directing crew, and monitoring quality, output, and productivity.
