About The Position
As an Assistant Machine Operator, you will set up, adjust, and operate a single piece of machinery. You will participate in training to prepare for promotion into a Lead Operator position. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment for safety issues, monitoring quality, output, and productivity. You will learn to utilize tools to measure and adjust machines to target levels, and engage in preventative maintenance tasks as required. You will also assist the lead operator with providing guidance to crew members and work in a team environment, cross-training with others.
Requirements
- Ability to do basic math and computer knowledge
- Ability to lift 20-50 pounds
- Ability to stand for the duration of your shift
Nice To Haves
- Preference will be given to candidates who agree to participate in cross-training, including achieving qualified status within the position and assuming responsibility as a backup for lateral and progressive roles, as needed.
