About The Position

The Bindery Finishing Operator sets up, operates, and adjusts print-finishing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. The role performs finishing operations on printed materials, inspects products for quality, troubleshoots equipment, and meets production deadlines while following safety and quality standards. The position is full-time on 1st shift in Cincinnati, Ohio, at $18 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial printing, bindery, or print finishing.
• Experience operating paper cutters, folding machines, stitching equipment, or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read measurements and follow job specifications.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as needed, and meet production goals.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Polar, Challenge, MBO, Stahl, Heidelberg, Müller Martini, Duplo, Horizon, Kluge, or Bobst equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust bindery equipment, including paper cutters, folders, stitchers, collators, and binding machines.
• Perform cutting, folding, trimming, stitching, laminating, and binding operations.
• Read job tickets and follow production specifications.
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Meet production deadlines while following safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
