About The Position

Working with Christian publishers, Bethany Press provides solutions for book production, printing, binding, and warehousing. We produce millions of life-changing books, and we are looking for self-managed, self-motivated creators who want to be a part of this accelerating business.

Requirements

Work 40 hours a week, willingly work overtime as necessary
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 40lbs.
Ability to stand for entire production shift plus crouch, crawl, pull, reach & endure repetitive motions
Communicate with excellence in English; both written & spoken
Be self-managed, requiring little or no supervision to do the daily activities of their job and disciplined in the performance of their duties, in communication and in attitude.

Responsibilities

Lead the Binder team to operate at maximized production quality and efficiency, as Binder Operator, Cutter Operator & Collator Operator
Assume and monitor excellent product quality
Operate equipment at the maximum potential efficiency
Minimize waste, spoilage, and inefficiencies to maximize the highest profitable return
Communicate with excellence to employees, management, and other departments on matters that could impact quality, cost, safety, or employee morale
Ensure commitments to customers are met
Exhibit flexibility in multiple projects and changing priorities
Perform assigned preventative maintenance of equipment
Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot working parts, recognizing potential replacement and repair needs, and communicate to Binder Supervisor
Ensure a clean, healthy, and safe environment
