About The Position
We are looking for an experienced BIM Technician with strong Revit & Stratus background to support the development and coordination of detailed piping and mechanical systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in BIM/VDC, mechanical detailing, piping, or a related field
- Able to read and interpret mechanical, piping, and construction drawings
- Understands BIM coordination and clash detection
- Able to produce accurate models and drawings
- Must have strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- Experience required in Stratus, including strong knowledge of its fabrication/detailing workflows
- Professional experience and solid understanding of piping systems, fittings, valves, equipment, and supports
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams
- Strong attention to detail
- Can work well with technical and non-technical teams and project stakeholders
Nice To Haves
- Relevant education or technical training in BIM/VDC, mechanical design, drafting, construction, or a related discipline is preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed 3D models in Revit and Stratus for piping and mechanical systems
- Create fabrication and installation drawings using project specifications, construction documents, and engineering information
- Model piping, equipment, fittings, supports, valves, and other related mechanical components
- Coordinate mechanical and piping models with structural, architectural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines
- Review models and drawings for accuracy, constructability, completeness, and potential conflicts
- Perform clash detection and make necessary adjustments to address coordination and modeling issues
- Read and interpret construction documents, engineering drawings, and project specifications
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, detailers, and field personnel throughout the project
- Update models and drawings to reflect design revisions, project changes, and field conditions
- Follow established project standards, modeling practices, and file organization procedures
- Complete assigned work within project schedules while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
