About The Position

The primary responsibilities of this role are to recruit, develop, supervise and manage BIM personnel, and the associated processes and standards. This role involves delegating workload, mentoring and training BIM and Engineering personnel, coordinating with leadership, creating and reviewing project-specific BIM schedules, and collaborating with Construction Tech on new tools and process improvements. The BIM Supervisor will also participate in assessing and filling staff needs, support BIM supervision for other regional offices, and develop future BIM Team Leads and senior BIM staff. Additionally, they will create and manage BIM training documentation and programs, review and quality control team members' work, and ensure team performance with respect to engineering project principles. Understanding and applying software updates, improvements, new features, ACCO BIM standards, and revised workflows is crucial. Effective communication and fostering collaboration with colleagues and project team members are essential, as is managing time to meet project schedules, budgets, and deadlines. Other duties may be assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Engineering, Technical Drafting or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in BIM modeling
  • 2 years in a role demonstrating leadership
  • Expert knowledge of BIM workflows, software and execution plans
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, fabrication, and installation
  • Ability and experience speaking in front of large groups of people for presentations and training exercises
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision.
  • The auditory/hearing abilities required by the job include the ability to hear customers calling by telephone.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods, stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, supervise and manage BIM personnel, and the associated processes and standards.
  • Delegate workload to and supervise BIM Team Leads, Modelers, Designers, and Coordinators.
  • Mentor and train BIM and Engineering personnel on BIM; workflows, software, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with BIM and Engineering leadership throughout organization.
  • Create and review project specific BIM schedules including communicating timeline and intent to general contractors and other team members.
  • Work with Construction Tech on development of new tools and process improvements.
  • Participate with Engineering Manager in assessing and filling staff needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Manager in career planning of BIM staff.
  • Develop future BIM Team Leads and senior BIM staff.
  • Support BIM supervision needs for other regional offices.
  • Create and manage BIM training documentation and programs.
  • Review and quality control of team members work.
  • Ensure team performance with respect to engineering project principles.
  • Understand and apply software updates, improvements, new features, ACCO BIM standards, revised workflows, etc.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate and foster collaboration with colleagues and project team members.

Benefits

  • Competitive Wages: $107,000 to $150,000 Annual Salary.
