About The Position

At Group PMX, we are seeking a motivated BIM Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to enhance your skills through comprehensive training, education, and in-house mentorship. The BIM Specialist will be responsible for developing and delivering BIM training programs, mentoring junior team members, and promoting BIM adoption across the program. This role requires ensuring BIM models comply with program requirements, QA/QC standards, ISO 19650, and client-specific guidelines. The specialist will also produce and oversee BIM progress reports, model audits, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, they will serve as the primary BIM point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, communicating BIM objectives, progress, and risks to project leadership. The role involves leading BIM workshops, coordination meetings, and model review sessions, as well as managing and delegating BIM-related tasks to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. The BIM Specialist will oversee clash detection, model federation, and coordination processes, and manage BIM deliverables across all project phases, including design, construction, and handover. Developing and maintaining BIM standards, protocols, and execution plans, and supporting 4D (scheduling), 5D (cost), and 6D (facility management/asset) BIM workflows are key responsibilities. Ensuring digital asset data is structured for effective post-construction facility management, establishing best practices for modeling, coordination, and data exchange, and managing and maintaining the Common Data Environment (CDE) to enable collaboration are also crucial. The role requires applying advanced BIM expertise to modeling, data management, analysis, and design optimization, and supporting the development, testing, and implementation of design tools and interoperability workflows. Finally, the BIM Specialist will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and system integration for BIM-related platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or a related discipline required
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Progressive experience in BIM/3D Modeling, with a focus on Autodesk Software Suite & Services
  • Strong understanding of construction and design processes within the AEC industry
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in BIM tools and methodologies
  • Experience with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and Assemble
  • Familiarity with design tools including Rhino, Lumion, Twinmotion, V-Ray, AutoCAD, Unity, or Unreal Engine
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in Revit is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit API, Dynamo, and/or Grasshopper is a plus
  • experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred
