About The Position

We are seeking a skilled BIM Modeler/Detailer to develop detailed electrical BIM models and construction drawings for commercial projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in electrical coordination, clash detection, and creating accurate models that support efficient field installation. You will work closely with project managers, field teams, and design professionals to ensure projects are delivered with precision and minimal field conflicts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler, BIM Detailer, VDC Designer, or similar role.
• Experience modeling commercial electrical systems for healthcare, institutional, or other large commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, conduit routing, equipment layouts, and installation sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience performing clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Commercial electrical construction experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent experience in BIM, drafting, or electrical design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed electrical BIM models for commercial construction projects.
• Develop coordinated shop drawings, installation drawings, prefabrication drawings, and layout plans from contract documents.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate with other trades to resolve design conflicts before construction.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure model accuracy.
• Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, engineers, architects, and VDC teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce sleeve drawings, hanger drawings, equipment layouts, and installation details to support field operations.
• Participate in coordination meetings and incorporate design revisions and field changes into project models.
• Maintain accurate BIM models throughout construction and assist with as-built documentation.
• Follow company BIM standards while meeting project schedules and quality expectations.
