About The Position

We are seeking an experienced BIM Modeler / Electrical Detailer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed BIM models, coordination drawings, and installation documents that improve constructability, streamline prefabrication, and support successful field installation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience modeling commercial electrical systems and is highly proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. You will collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, field personnel, and other trades to coordinate designs, resolve clashes, and produce accurate, construction-ready models throughout every phase of the project.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a BIM Modeler, Electrical Detailer, VDC Designer, or similar role.
• Commercial electrical construction experience is required.
• Proven experience modeling commercial electrical systems for construction projects.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, conduit routing, equipment layouts, and installation practices.
• Experience with BIM coordination, clash detection, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality construction drawings.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in BIM, drafting, electrical design, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for commercial electrical construction projects.
• Produce electrical shop drawings, installation layouts, coordination drawings, and prefabrication packages.
• Model conduit systems, electrical equipment, cable trays, supports, sleeves, and related components.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural trades.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
• Participate in BIM/VDC coordination meetings and incorporate RFIs, design revisions, and field updates into project models.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, estimators, engineers, field supervisors, and other project stakeholders.
• Generate accurate, field-ready drawings to support installation and prefabrication activities.
• Maintain project models throughout construction and assist with as-built documentation upon project completion.
• Ensure all BIM deliverables meet company standards, project specifications, and quality expectations.
