BIM Manager - EV Construction Management

Turner & TownsendSan Francisco, CA
$130,000 - $150,000Onsite

About The Position

We are looking for a BIM Manager to serve as the principal architect of our virtual workspace—building the core Revit templates, global parameter frameworks, and master asset libraries that power our entire design studio. We are building a highly scaled, forward-looking Design Standards Studio. In this role, you will sit at the center of our digital ecosystem, combining systems-level governance, workflow automation, and hands-on content creation. Partnering closely with our Standards Governance and Documentation teams, you will bridge physical architectural models with digital database schemas and lead a multi-region governance network supporting project delivery teams across the studio.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in BIM Administration, Model Coordination, and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) management.
  • Proven track record of developing, deploying, and enforcing master templates and shared parameter files for multi-site corporate programs.
  • Deep proficiency within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360 ecosystems.
  • Hands-on mastery of parametric families, nested families, type catalogs, and central parameter database management.
  • Experience authoring clear BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), modeling guides, and technical standards.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience managing external A/E consultants, vendor model handoffs, and multidisciplinary design reviews.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent practical/technical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience writing scripts in Dynamo, Python, or the Revit API to automate repetitive workflows.
  • Experience organizing data-rich BIM catalogs for web-based Content Management Systems.
  • Exposure to large-scale retail, hospitality, industrial rollout programs, or technical infrastructure projects (R&D labs, data centers, cleanrooms).
  • Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP): Revit Architecture
  • Autodesk Certified Lead or BIM Manager credentials
  • buildingSMART Professional Certification or CanBIM Professional / Specialist Certification

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain global Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD modeling standards, master templates, and shared parameter files across the Design Studio.
  • Build and maintain the master BIM Family Library (including programmatic equipment blocks, architectural details, and fixtures) to ensure all 3D models reflect current design standards.
  • Serve as the primary Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Hub Administrator for studio ACC and Revit users, managing permissions, licensing, and cloud worksharing environments.
  • Research, develop, and deploy automation tools (using Dynamo, Python, or Revit API) to streamline routine modeling checks, parametric verification, and QA/QC workflows.
  • Mentor and manage regional BIM Coordinators across EMEA and APAC to handle localized model troubleshooting, coordinate technical training, and maintain global alignment.
  • Conduct regular model health audits on active local models and external Architect of Record submittals to ensure clean file handoffs.
  • Collaborate directly with Standards Governance and Documentation leads to align Revit model metadata and database schemas. Deliver master template and family catalog updates quarterly for web-based CMS publishing.
