About The Position

This is a full-time, on-site position combining project BIM management with internal design technology and automation development. The BIM Manager leads BIM strategy and execution for an active, limited-scope project, ensuring that workflows, standards, and data structures are defined and consistently followed. The role oversees model coordination, documentation, stakeholder communication, model federation, and clash detection, while aligning model data with procurement, fabrication, and field installation needs. The position serves as HCG’s primary point of contact for BIM-related deliverables and project team coordination, and works closely with project managers, general contractors, electrical trade partners, constructability experts, and other disciplines. It also owns the development and deployment of tools and platforms that improve consistency, reduce manual work, and scale HCG’s service delivery. This includes automation tools, Revit add-ins, platform integrations, Autodesk Forma templates and governance, reporting dashboards, and data pipelines. The BIM Manager develops project and company standards, documentation, and training materials, mentors BIM coordinators and modelers, and promotes continuous improvement through quality controls and documented best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in BIM workflows within an electrical trade environment, including model setup, standards, and data management, and the ability to build field trust and buy-in.
  • Experience with BIM coordination in data center or large-scale commercial projects, including clash detection, model federation, and multidisciplinary trade coordination.
  • Background in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), with the ability to connect electrical models to planning, scheduling, prefabrication, and field execution.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, conduit routing, cable tray, and gear placement, and their integration in complex data center environments.
  • Familiarity with trade coordination workflows involving mechanical, plumbing, and structural disciplines, and the ability to represent electrical interests effectively.
  • Proven ability to lead BIM-related meetings and communicate technical information to general contractors, engineers, field teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with common BIM and coordination platforms, including Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, or similar tools.
  • Ability to define, implement, and maintain BIM Execution Plans, standards, and workflow best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a process-oriented mindset grounded in quality and accountability.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in electrical, engineering, or construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage model coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication for an active, limited-scope project in alignment with HCG standards.
  • Develop and maintain the project BIM Execution Plan, ensuring data integrity, accountability, and clear workflows through closeout.
  • Serve as the primary HCG point of contact for BIM-related deliverables and project team coordination.
  • Oversee BIM coordination meetings, model federation, and clash detection.
  • Align model data with procurement, fabrication, and field installation needs.
  • Build and maintain custom automation tools, Revit add-ins, and platform integrations for BIM Managers and Coordinators across active HCG projects.
  • Develop and maintain Autodesk Forma project templates, governance standards, and data management frameworks.
  • Build reporting dashboards and data pipelines that provide HCG leadership with visibility into project health, model quality, and operational metrics.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging Autodesk technologies and workflow tools.
  • Develop internal documentation, training materials, and standards to support adoption and sustained use of new tools.
  • Train and mentor BIM coordinators and modelers.
  • Drive continuous improvement of BIM processes through documented quality controls and captured best practices.
