About The Position

Mariana Minerals is seeking a BIM Design Engineer to support drafting, modeling, and digital delivery for its minerals projects. The role develops, updates, and maintains 2D and 3D drawings and models, supports multidisciplinary layouts and CAD standards, and prepares design deliverables for reviews, construction, and field execution. The engineer also contributes to model coordination and standardization, workflow automation, and laser-scanning registration, while collaborating with engineers, project managers, and external consultants.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a CAD Designer, CAD Drafter, BIM Designer, or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Ability to work across multiple disciplines, not limited to a single trade.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Civil 3D and Plant 3D.
Experience working on industrial, mining, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain 2D and 3D drawings and models using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Civil 3D, and Revit.
Support multidisciplinary layouts, including equipment and general arrangement plans and civil drawing support.
Maintain CAD standards across projects.
Ensure drawings and models are accurate and adhere to project and company standards.
Support BIM and digital delivery workflows, including model cleanup, coordination, and standardization.
Assist with automation and efficiency improvements using basic scripting and tools such as Python, PowerShell, and AutoLISP.
Prepare drawings and models for design reviews, construction, and field execution.
Maintain organized project files, templates, and documentation in accordance with internal CAD/BIM standards.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external consultants to provide drafting and modeling support.
Assist with laser scanning registration from LiDAR- and SLAM-based scanners.
