About The Position

The BIM Coordinator will support data center construction projects by leading multidisciplinary BIM coordination across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems to ensure seamless project execution. This role is responsible for managing model federation, clash detection, constructability reviews, and proactive issue resolution to minimize conflicts, maintain schedule integrity, and uphold quality standards in fast-paced mission critical environments. Working closely with general contractors, trade partners, design teams, and owners, the BIM Coordinator will facilitate coordination meetings, support field execution, and ensure accurate communication of project updates and technical requirements. The position also oversees key BIM deliverables including shop drawing reviews, as-built models, turnover documentation, and compliance with BIM Execution Plans throughout all phases of construction.

Requirements

5+ years (minimum 10,000 hours) of hands-on BIM coordination experience in commercial, industrial, mission critical, or data center construction environments.
Proven experience supporting large-scale construction projects with multidisciplinary coordination (MEP, structural, architectural, civil).
Strong understanding of mission critical infrastructure systems including: Electrical distribution, Mechanical/HVAC systems, Plumbing, Fire protection, Low-voltage systems.
Experience managing clash detection, model federation, and design coordination processes.
Ability to support construction sequencing, phasing, and installation planning through BIM workflows.
Experience participating in OAC meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and design review sessions.
Understanding of construction documents, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and as-built deliverables.
Experience working directly with General Contractors, Owners, Trade Partners, and Design Teams.
Familiarity with turnover packages, commissioning support, and field verification.
Strong knowledge of constructability reviews and installation conflict resolution.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
