About The Position

The BIM Coordinator manages and coordinates Building Information Modeling (BIM) models for a variety of construction projects, leading coordination efforts internally and externally. The role sets up and manages Navisworks, CAD, Revit, and Procore drawing models. Remote work from home may be available depending on the candidate’s location. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and may involve infrequent travel or job assignments in or around Virginia.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a mechanical contractor environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in current versions of Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit, and Solidworks or comparable software.
• Ability and willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
• Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Must be available to work assigned schedules.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a construction environment.
• Prior military experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up CAD and Revit drawing models for production.
• Generate Navisworks models for coordination.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks for coordination.
• Lead internal and external coordination meetings.
• Act as the BIM liaison to customers.
• Clean up container models for production use.
• Oversee light modeling of parts or equipment not available from manufacturers.
• Manage Revit models.
• Manage the Procore Model and Coordination Issues application.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
