About The Position

As a BIM Coordinator III, you are instrumental in the successful execution of Rosendin's electrical construction projects by leading the daily coordination of Building Information Models (BIM). You will independently manage complex model integration, perform advanced clash detection, and ensure model accuracy and adherence to project standards. This role directly supports our field teams, enhances project efficiency, and contributes to our commitment as employee-owners to delivering exceptional quality.

Requirements

• Proficiency in BIM software including Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, and NavisWorks Manage.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction means, methods, and sequencing.
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced clash detection and facilitate resolution of complex coordination issues.
• Experience with project-level BIM execution plans and model quality control processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective inter-disciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents, electrical schematics, and specifications.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing model discrepancies.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM coordination or modeling, with significant experience in the electrical construction industry.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Trimble Field Link or similar field layout technology is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, OSHA 30) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex BIM model coordination efforts across multiple disciplines, including architectural, structural, MEP, and electrical systems.
• Perform advanced clash detection using NavisWorks and other BIM tools, proactively identifying and resolving coordination issues with project stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, and update accurate 3D electrical system models (Revit MEP/AutoCAD MEP) from design documents, sketches, and field input.
• Enforce project-specific BIM standards, protocols, and Rosendin's corporate BIM program guidelines to maintain model integrity and consistency.
• Prepare detailed MEP coordination drawings and electrical shop drawings directly extracted from 3D models for pre-fabrication and installation.
• Actively participate in and lead portions of inter-disciplinary coordination meetings, effectively communicating resolutions and necessary adjustments.
• Conduct comprehensive quality control checks on BIM models to ensure constructability, accuracy, and adherence to project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, field personnel, and junior BIM staff on model access, issues, and best practices.
• Support the development and implementation of new BIM processes, tools, and workflows to improve departmental efficiency and project outcomes.
