About The Position

DIALOG is a multi-disciplinary practice committed to improving community wellbeing and the environment through design. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is crucial for delivering coordinated, high-quality projects. As a BIM Coordinator, you will support the planning, implementation, and management of BIM processes throughout the project lifecycle. Reporting to the Design Technology Leadership team and collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and consultants, you will ensure project models are coordinated, compliant with standards, and meet client requirements. You will serve as a technical resource, supporting project delivery through effective BIM workflows, model management, and coordination practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3-7 years of experience in BIM-enabled Architecture, Engineering, or Construction environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with experience supporting multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of coordination platforms (e.g., Autodesk Forma or similar) and model coordination practices across disciplines.
• Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), industry standards, and information management principles (ISO 19650 familiarity is an asset).
• Solid understanding of building systems, construction documentation, and project delivery processes.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
• Effective communicator and collaborator, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Dynamo, BIM automation, or emerging technologies is an asset.
• ISO 19650 familiarity is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and execution of BIM processes, standards, and project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Establish and maintain project models, templates, worksharing environments, and file structures across the project lifecycle.
• Conduct model audits and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with BIM standards, project requirements, and best practices.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary models with internal teams and external consultants using cloud-based collaboration and coordination platforms.
• Facilitate coordination reviews, including clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution workflows.
• Monitor model health, performance, and data integrity while supporting documentation workflows and problem-solving.
• Support project deliverables and information exchanges while maintaining BIM documentation, coordination reports, and compliance records.
• Provide day-to-day support and guidance on Revit and BIM tools while contributing to continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and practices.
