About The Position

As a member of Vertiv’s BIM department team in Anderson SC, the candidate will be a part of a team of competent and collaborative colleagues, working on innovative projects in a stimulating workplace, where you will be able to develop your skills and expertise within the area of BIM design and management. The candidate will be located in Anderson, South Carolina where they will work with the BIM departments within the Busbar Line of Business in Anderson and remotely with the wider busway BIM team across the globe. The Building Information Modelling (BIM) department is responsible for corporate strategic, management and production aspects of BIM, including visualizations, task automatization and Engineering Document Administration. Making key software implementation decisions and supporting teams. Depending on qualifications the candidate will be assisting engineers (architecture, electrical, mechanical and structural) in everyday BIM tasks such as modeling, coordination and model management as well as various problems solving tasks to ensure the project timelines are met. This is a technical supporting role also responsible for Management aspects of BIM in the company, and for some parts of Strategic and Production aspects. You will help us to ensure that our products meet high design, development, and production quality.

Requirements

  • BS or above in Engineering (architecture, structural, mechanical, or electrical)
  • Must have good written & verbal communication in English
  • At least 1 year of experience in BIM modeling using Revit (Revit families and Revit projects)
  • Familiarity with BIM360, or other model sharing/coordination services
  • Familiarity with coordination software such as Navisworks, Solibri etc.
  • Active user of MS Office incl. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Technical/practical skills: analytical, assessment, organizational
  • Able to establish effective teamwork and communicate effectively
  • Skilled in analysis and problem solving
  • Proactive, meticulous, thorough, with good organization skills
  • Drive and Sense of Urgency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams is a plus
  • Knowledge of Dynamo and the ability to read/write scripts are a plus but not required
  • Interest in programing language is plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Successful creation and delivery of the company's products and services to the client in scope of BIM
  • Multi-disciplinary (Busway Routing, Architecture, Structural, Electrical) Revit modeling and BIM model creation, corrections, or updates
  • Revit content creation (Revit families, templates, protocol documents, workflows etc.)
  • Training, supporting, and overseeing day-to-day activities of Revit users to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of Revit models.
  • Regular BIM model audits and model archiving
  • Regular BIM model coordination
  • Educating the team on best technical practices regarding BIM
  • Company’s internal staff training and support regarding BIM
