About The Position

We are looking for driven, goal-oriented people to join our team as a BIM Coordination Intern. This role is for eager learners who enjoy figuring things out, are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and can visualize how different systems fit together. If you enjoy working with 3D models, technology, and technical problem-solving, and are looking to expand your industry experience and knowledge prior to graduating with a degree or technical diploma in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, this internship is for you. We believe that quality matters, that asking questions and clarifying expectations leads to success, and that technology can make the design and construction process better.

Requirements

Degree or technical diploma in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Eager learner who enjoys figuring things out.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to visualize how different systems fit together.
Enjoys working with 3D models, technology, and technical problem-solving.
Looking to expand industry experience and knowledge prior to graduating.

Nice To Haves

Prior professional BIM Coordination experience.
Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks or other BIM software experience.
Construction drawing or technical drawing interpretation.
Coursework involving architecture, construction, engineering, or building systems.

Responsibilities

Work alongside BIM Coordinators, designers, and engineers to support 3D model coordination on a wide range of industrial engineering projects.
Perform clash detection and model reviews using Navisworks and related tools to identify potential conflicts between architectural, structural, equipment, electrical, and process systems.
Desire to learn and implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) protocols that keep us on the leading edge of technology.
Assist with maintaining and updating BIM Execution Plans and project BIM documentation.
Assist with the development and coordination of models utilizing Revit, Plant3D, Navisworks, and other design technologies.
Gain experience working with multi-discipline models and point clouds, and understand how multidisciplinary engineering teams use BIM to coordinate complex industrial facilities.
