About The Position

This role involves developing engineering and technical data into models using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM). The designer will utilize CADD/BIM systems including AutoCAD and specifically Revit 3D modeling, along with other software tools like word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint. The position requires ensuring the consistent application of CADD and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) with sound engineering principles and practices. Collaboration with project leaders and assignment originators is essential to ensure data detailing is compatible with conditions and specifications, and to provide necessary information or suggest revisions.

Requirements

• Must hold an Active TS//SCI clearance and be willing to undergo a polygraph
• High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of prior relevant experience, or a BS degree with 1+ years of relevant experience or coursework.
• Relevant experience is defined as: developing engineering and technical data, including design scope and complexity, into forms usable by engineers for civil and military projects using techniques such as Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other software tools.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with creating BIM Revit models and integrating architectural, structural, HVAC, power, communications, and plumbing systems.
• Using Revit to develop in-house construction documents.
• Understanding how survey and engineering data and drawings are developed and their application and relation to construction; making modifications to features for various Civil works and military projects

Responsibilities

• Develop various engineering and technical data into models using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Utilize CADD/BIM systems including AutoCAD, and specifically Revit 3D modeling, and other software tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint to provide material for analysis
• Ensure use of CADD and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) is consistent with sound engineering principles and practices
• Consult with project leaders to ensure detailing of data is compatible with the conditions being written and to furnish information required to meet the specifications.
• Confer with assignment originators as necessary to obtain additional or clarifying information, or to offer suggested revisions.
