Requirements
- Previous experience in medical billing, coding, or collections
- Proficiency in ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG coding systems
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Answering phones
- Assisting with scheduling patients
- Processing insurance verifications/ authorizations
- Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
- Follow up on outstanding claims and denials
- Maintain billing records and documentation
- Collaborate with medical staff to clarify billing information
- Utilize medical billing software and systems effectively
