Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Skilled nursing billing experience is required.
Strong understanding of accounts receivable and private pay billing processes.
Proficiency with computer systems and billing software.
Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare billing.

Responsibilities

Manage all resident private pay billing and accounts receivable activities.
Generate, review, and distribute monthly resident statements.
Post invoices, charges, payments, and billing adjustments accurately.
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies.
Participate in Accounts Receivable review meetings and recommend collection actions when appropriate.
Prepare accounts for collection agency submission when necessary.
Verify insurance coverage and complete pre-authorizations for admissions.
Maintain accurate census information, including resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Ensure move-in documentation is complete and properly maintained.
