Modivcare is looking for an experienced Billing Manager I to join our team, responsible for optimizing and standardizing revenue cycle processes while providing strategic insights and leadership to support billing operations and organizational goals. This role partners closely with stakeholders to enhance processes, lead system implementations, and deliver analytical insights that drive informed decision-making. This role… Serves as a subject matter expert in all aspects of revenue cycle management Provides strategic insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making Leads the development and implementation of advanced revenue cycle strategies Supports and develops Billing Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement Ensures timely and accurate client invoicing Utilizes advanced data tools (e.g., Access, databases) to support complex invoice creation Designs and improves process flows with minimal oversight Develops and maintains internal controls for invoice preparation and ensures SOX compliance Maintains process documentation and cycle narratives for billing operations Conducts internal, external, and client contract audits as needed Aligns policies and procedures with evolving processes Leads special projects, including complex system implementations Facilitates team meetings to drive collaboration and process improvements Manages operational scope of complex, cross-functional projects Identifies opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and functionality Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders Establishes goals and provides regular updates on project progress and performance Drives accountability and adherence to deadlines within the team Performs additional duties and leads projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • Seven (7) plus years of experience in financial analysis and/or billing in a high-volume, data-intensive environment
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue cycle management
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets
  • Detail-oriented with an innovative mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer focus and decision-making capabilities
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, power queries)
  • Proficiency in Access and SQL
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare or logistics preferred
  • Experience in a public company with SOX-compliant internal controls preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
