About The Position

MTK Healthcare is hiring an experienced Billing Follow Up Associate for a remote contract opportunity with Adventist Health. This position is ideal for candidates with strong healthcare billing and insurance follow-up experience who are skilled at resolving claim denials and reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of healthcare medical billing and insurance follow-up experience.
• Strong understanding of EOBs, claim denials, and payment posting.
• Experience resolving insurance claim issues and applying account adjustments.
• Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement processes.
• Experience using Cerner and Epic preferred.
• Workers' Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) billing experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Candidates must be located in the Pacific Time (PT) or Mountain Time (MT) time zones.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow up on outstanding insurance claims.
• Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to identify denial reasons.
• Resolve claim denials and submit appeals or corrected claims as needed.
• Apply appropriate contractual adjustments and write-offs.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and reimbursement.
• Document account activity accurately and maintain productivity standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and organizational policies.
