About The Position
This role involves verifying charges, making corrections, and completing billing and insurance-related tasks. Key responsibilities include entering surgery and delivery charges, obtaining authorizations and verifications for surgeries, verifying insurance, and performing other required clerical duties.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of previous medical office billing experience
- Excellent people and telephone skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, and various insurance plans
- Excellent typing skills
- Excellent math skills
- Ten-key proficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- EPM/EMR experience
