About The Position

The Billing Lead is responsible for performing billing related functions, mentoring billing staff, resolving escalated billing disputes, and managing team performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. 1. Enters client enrollment information into billing system, monitors data and provides related reports to supervisor. 2. Educate Billing Team on denials, billing trends, and patterns, payers specific. 3. Maintain and tracks all Medicare enrollments. 4. Keeps all commercial Rosters up to date and accurate. 5. Establishes rapport with delegated payer Representatives. 6. Cooperates with other public agencies, including the Department of Human Services, in obtaining information and completing billing and collection services 7. Positively represents the department/agency through appropriate interaction, personal appearance and attitude SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive to the position, can be performed by other positions: however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc. 1. Assists administrative staff in Performance Improvement activities for agency as needed 2. Assists with office tasks as needed 3. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator/Directo

Requirements

  • Knowledge/skill regarding office practices, procedures, and efficient operation of office machinery.
  • Ability in effective communication and interpersonal skills with public and co-workers
  • Demonstrates appropriate understanding of working with confidential material and situations
  • Ability to understand and assimilate new information quickly
  • Ability to accurately complete reports, gather statistics, transfer data
  • Knowledge of various funding sources and what is required for billing
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience of billing procedures related to client accounts and Management Information Systems preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge about the disease of alcohol addiction preferred
