About The Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing & Coding Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting accurate revenue cycle processes and ensuring timely reimbursement for healthcare & therapy services. You would be responsible for accurate claim submission, coding review, payment posting, denial follow-up, and insurance communication related to services provided. This role works closely with clinical teams, front office staff, and leadership to ensure clean claims and strong financial performance.
Requirements
- Experience in medical billing and/or coding
- Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10, as well as healthcare and therapy billing processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Review documentation for billing accuracy and completeness
- Submit insurance claims in a timely manner
- Post payments and reconcile accounts
- Investigate and resolve denied or rejected claims
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding authorizations, eligibility, and claim status
- Work patient accounts including balances, adjustments, and follow-up
- Ensure compliance with payer requirements and coding guidelines
- Support productivity and revenue cycle reporting needs
- Collaborate with clinic teams to improve billing workflows
