About The Position

Modivcare is looking for an experienced Billing Analyst to join their team. This role is responsible for optimizing and standardizing revenue cycle processes, providing strategic insights and leadership to support billing operations and organizational goals. The Billing Analyst will partner closely with stakeholders to enhance processes, lead system implementations, and deliver analytical insights that drive informed decision-making. This role serves as a subject matter expert in all aspects of revenue cycle management, provides strategic insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making, and leads the development and implementation of advanced revenue cycle strategies. The analyst will also support and develop other Billing Analysts, foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensure timely and accurate client invoicing, and utilize advanced data tools (e.g., Access, databases) to support complex invoice creation. Additionally, the role involves designing and improving process flows with minimal oversight, developing and maintaining internal controls for invoice preparation, ensuring SOX compliance, and maintaining process documentation and cycle narratives for billing operations. The analyst will conduct internal, external, and client contract audits as needed, align policies and procedures with evolving processes, lead special projects including complex system implementations, and facilitate team meetings to drive collaboration and process improvements. The role also manages the operational scope of complex, cross-functional projects, identifies opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and functionality, builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, establishes goals, and provides regular updates on project progress and performance. The analyst will drive accountability and adherence to deadlines within the team and perform additional duties and lead projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field required
• Seven (7) plus years of experience in financial analysis and/or billing in a high-volume, data-intensive environment
• In-depth knowledge of revenue cycle management
• Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets
• Detail-oriented with an innovative mindset
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer focus and decision-making capabilities
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, power queries)
• Proficiency in Access and SQL
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare or logistics preferred
• Experience in a public company with SOX-compliant internal controls preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
