Construction - Billboard Installer

Lamar Advertising Company•Ottawa, OH

About The Position

This entry-level, full-time position installs and maintains billboards, including installing advertisements, maintaining structures, and keeping billboard cosmetics in good condition. The position most often works alone and requires effective work-schedule management. The Installer works alongside the Operations team and prioritizes personal and team safety. Installation commonly involves handling large vinyl advertisements and assembling them correctly on billboard structures. The role includes maintenance and construction tasks such as tightening bolts, painting steel structures, repairing trim and sign-face components, and changing light bulbs. Billboard structures can reach about 200 feet, so comfort working at heights is necessary. The primary work environment is outdoors and may involve adverse weather. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule of 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; on-call shifts may be required, and nights away from home for travel are less than 10%. Lamar provides equipment and a six-week training program. The role is based out of Lamar’s Lima, Ohio office and serves Lima and surrounding areas.
