About The Position

PEMCO Lighting Products, a leader in cutting-edge outdoor lighting solutions, is seeking a dedicated Bill of Materials (BOM)/Router Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in the production process, responsible for developing Bills of Materials and Routers, interpreting complex instructions and diagrams, and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will be a team player committed to enhancing accuracy in pricing, inventory, purchasing, and product fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Sage Operations Management a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with change management processes.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and production planning.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOM) for all products and assemblies.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure BOM accuracy and completeness.
  • Update BOMs based on engineering changes, product revisions, and feedback from production.
  • Analyze BOMs to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve production efficiency.
  • Create and manage work orders for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Ensure routers are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with inventory management to ensure materials availability aligns with production schedules.
  • Maintain documentation related to BOMs and routers in the company’s ERP system.
  • Conduct regular audits of BOMs and routers to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to BOM discrepancies and work order execution.
  • Provide training and support to team members on BOM and router processes.
  • Generate reports on BOM accuracy, router completion, and material usage for management review.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance BOM and router processes.
