Bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant
About The Position
MedSpecialized, Inc. is looking for a Bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant to support DrCatalyst, a healthcare staffing organization. The role involves assisting healthcare clinics in the United States with patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and administrative support. Team members may also receive training in referral management, authorizations, medical records, eligibility and benefits verification, prescription coordination, and other healthcare administrative functions. The position requires working night shifts. Applicants residing outside Cebu Province in the Philippines will work remotely, while those residing in Cebu will work onsite at the Cebu office located in IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City.
Requirements
- At least High School Level with 6 months healthcare BPO experience
- Medical Allied Grad or Non-Medical Allied Grad
- Must be proficient in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
- Computer literate, including Gmail, Google Sheets, and EMR systems.
- Internet speed of at least 100 Mbps.
- Stable internet connection and a conducive work-from-home environment.
- Willing to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare BPO experience is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Provide bilingual support (English/Spanish) for inbound calls, assisting patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and general clinic information.
- Conduct outbound calls in both English and Spanish for patient appointment reminders, wellness checks, and other routine outreach.
- Document accurate, detailed EMR notes for all patient interactions, effectively looping in onsite personnel and providers.
- Utilize Google Chat to maintain seamless communication with online personnel, as well as separate dedicated channels with DRC team members.
