About The Position

The purpose of this role is to serve and guide Spanish-speaking prospective students on campus tours, including individualized tours, group tours, virtual tours, or golf cart tours. This position requires a friendly, enthusiastic, proactive, self-assured, organized, and dependable individual who is fluent in both Spanish and English. The intern will collaborate professionally with GCU and GCE staff, assist with translating Admissions Appointments, and implement effective communication strategies to represent GCU's academic excellence. This role also provides support to full-time employees through promotional and administrative tasks, assists with enrollment events and office projects, and requires a student willing to work 20 hours per week. Accuracy and quality of work are prioritized over speed. Employment is contingent upon the satisfactory outcome of pre-employment screening activities, including a background check.

Requirements

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, proactive, self-assured, organized, and dependable.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English, enough to maintain a professional conversation with students and families for up to two hours.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Confidence using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Comfortable operating various office machines and greeting visitors.
  • Take pride in work (accuracy is more important than speed).
  • Comfortable multi-tasking on occasion.
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous office experience preferred.

  • Occasionally work evenings or weekends.
