Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Minimum 1-year Manufacturing related experience.
  • Minimum 2-years consecutive employment with 1 employer.
  • Must have a good command of both the English & Spanish language, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to read, interpret and translate work documents
  • Must have the ability to work in teams
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math
  • Must have the ability to adapt to frequent changes
  • Ability to set priorities and perform duties without supervision.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and training/coaching skills.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to document process steps in a manner that is easily understandable.
  • Proficient in use of computer software programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Ability to deliver training in a positive and motivating, continuous improvement environment.
  • Knowledgeable of all Production process steps.
  • Ability to set priorities and handle requests.
  • Ability to give feedback for improvement effectively and in a constructive manner.
  • Respects individuals, the organization, occupational health and safety, authority, the community and the team.
  • Ability to identify and modify training approach to effectively convey technical concepts to a range of adult learning styles.
  • Ability to monitor and measure knowledge retention of employees and evaluate personal instructional effectiveness.
  • Ability to provide positive reinforcement and motivate trainees.
  • Ability to adapt frequently, work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining safe work practices.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and conduct training for Production employees.
  • Prepare, organize and maintain training materials to include manuals, course materials, handouts, visual aids, standard operating procedures, attendance records, course evaluations, and other electronic or hard copy materials.
  • Conduct training needs assessments.
  • Maintain Production training records.
  • Work with SMEs to develop procedures to insure process control and standardized work.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Resolve process issues and improve reliability through process modifications as needed.
  • Create and maintain procedures to support Production best practices.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop process standards and control the documentation associated.
  • Lead project initiatives as assigned.
  • General project work as assigned.
  • Miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.
  • Any other duties as requested by Department Manager.
  • Fill in as needed within the department.
