Requirements

  • Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
  • Minimum of one-year experience in pharmacy billing services
  • Extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD.9 codes
  • Ability to interpret billing procedures and changes and assimilate information to computer.
  • Data Entry Ability to input information quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to organize and reconcile data.
  • Ability to analyze and improve billing procedures required.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of medical/clinical and pharmacy terminology.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, and business software such as Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Billing or Collections experience preferred
  • Customer Service orientated (external and internal)
  • Call Center Healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Processes claims (billing and collection) online to health insurance carriers for the cost of pharmaceuticals furnished to patients who are covered by health insurance policies and have received treatment at the facility.
  • Provides claim processing for non-beneficiaries who receive medical services at the facility.
  • Receives medication orders, interprets the orders, calculates and compounds the dosage, and dispenses the medications.
