About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Bilingual School Counselor to support students in a Spanish/English dual language immersion school setting in Aurora, CO. In this role, you'll support students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success while fostering an inclusive environment that values bilingualism, cultural connections, and student well-being. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and school teams to provide meaningful counseling services and support student growth.

Requirements

Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling, or a related field
Valid Colorado CDE School Counselor License (or ability to obtain by start date)
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
Passion for supporting bilingual learners and student success

School-based experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling services to students in a bilingual learning environment
Support students’ social-emotional development, academic success, and behavioral needs
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to develop student-centered interventions
Participate in student support team meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
Assist students with conflict resolution, self-advocacy, coping skills, and goal-setting
Conduct risk assessments and support crisis intervention when needed
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district and state requirements
Help foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive dual language school community
