About The Position

Balance Point Wellness, LLC is seeking qualified Bilingual Spanish Speaking licensed therapists (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LCMFT, Psychologist, etc.) to provide mental health therapy services to children and adolescents in Dundalk and Baltimore County schools. This is a Mental Health Therapist position within the schools, not a Guidance Counselor position. The role involves managing an assigned caseload and providing ongoing individual mental health therapy, clinically appropriate therapy services, completing psychosocial assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, and completing timely contact notes and clinical documentation. Collaboration with school personnel, families, and the treatment team is also a key aspect of the role, ensuring services are provided in accordance with professional standards and student needs.

Requirements

Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency is required.
Candidates must be fluent in both Spanish and English to effectively communicate with clients, families, school personnel, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling required.
Current Maryland licensure that authorizes the provision of mental health treatment.
Successful completion of a background check is required.
Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation.

Nice To Haves

Previous psychotherapy experience in a community-based setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage an assigned caseload and provide ongoing individual mental health therapy.
Provide clinically appropriate therapy services to children and adolescents.
Complete psychosocial assessments.
Develop and update person-centered treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Complete timely contact notes and clinical documentation for all sessions.
Document all services through our cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Collaborate with school personnel, families, and other members of the treatment team as appropriate.
Provide services in accordance with professional standards and the needs of each student.
