About The Position

This position operates Dem-Con’s scale and involves a high level of customer interaction. The role requires knowledge of waste acceptance, pricing, and facility operations. The Scale Operator greets and directs customers, monitors traffic, weighs vehicles, maintains accurate records, and manages tickets and manifests for inbound and outbound traffic. The position also requires enforcing waste acceptance policies, balancing the cash drawer daily, troubleshooting scale-related software and technology, and complying with company policies and procedures. Requirements

Bilingual in Spanish and English.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience using MS Office products.
Proficient with computers.
Ability to learn new software programs.
Ability to work some Saturdays.
High level of customer service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while producing accurate tickets and weights.
Detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Greet and direct customers entering the facility.
Monitor inbound and outbound traffic and operate scale house functions.
Use scale systems to weigh trucks, issue tickets, maintain accurate records, and report transported materials.
Weigh vehicles accurately using scale software.
Troubleshoot software and other technology associated with the scale.
Measure trucks and trailers.
Understand and enforce Dem-Con’s waste acceptance policies with customers entering the facility.
Print tickets and manage manifests for inbound and outbound traffic.
Balance the cash drawer daily.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
